Are you new to firearms? Considering your first gun purchase?

Course Cost and Description: The cost is only $125 per person and highlights the basic knowledge, skill, and attitude essential for selecting, safely handling, storing and cleaning a firearm. This interactive class is about 2 hours in length and is a great introduction to the important aspect of own a firearm.

Course topics include: Gun safety, types of firearms and their parts, types of magazines and ammunition, types of sights, what to expect on the range, what you will need to have a great experience at the range, cleaning your gun, firearm selection considerations, revolvers vs. pistols (pros and cons), additional courses and training opportunities and more.

What is needed to take this course? Just a teachable attitude. No firearm, ammunition or previous experience is needed.

Do not take this course If your goal is to obtain a concealed carry permit: This is a general firearm safety education course and topics that are essential to concealed carry are NOT covered in this entry level course. A certificate for use of concealed carry application submission will NOT be issued. Please visit the course calendar page and register for a concealed carry course.

Refund and late arrival policy: There are no refunds given unless course is cancelled by Capital Defense Instruction LLC. Preregistration and prepayment is required for everyone attending this course. Failure to attend scheduled course you've enrolled in forfeits any money paid.
