This course has the same great training that’s offered in our coed courses with added attention oriented towards the female shooter.  This course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling of firearms.  It includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type.  In this course, women learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; types of ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; concealed carry options for women; and continued opportunities for skill development.  All women receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, a NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, a Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and a FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.  This course also meets the training requirements to submit application for a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit should any of the women desire to apply for one.  

Refuse To Be A Victim® Seminar for Women -$109

This seminar teaches women basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for developing a strategy for ones personal safety.  The seminar includes classroom instruction on a variety of crime prevention strategies, from criminal psychology to automobile crimes to cyber crime.  This is NOT a firearms instruction course, and DOES NOT include instruction in physical combat self-defense.  This seminars teaches women about common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and teaches a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive, and easy to follow.  Strategies include home security, carjack avoidance techniques, cyber safety, and use of personal safety devices.  All women will receive the Refuse To Be A Victim® student handbook, a NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® brochure, a NRA Become A Refuse To Be A Victim® Instructor Brochure, a Refuse To Be A Victim® Firearms Supplement Booklet, and a course completion certificate.

Pepper Spray Defensive Techniques Training for Women -$149

This course is a practical hands-on training for women.  It covers topic like: proper deployment of pepper spray, defending yourself from the ground, defending yourself against multiple attackers, dealing with criminal flashmob situations, effects of pepper spray on people, scenario applications, methods of carrying pepper spray, principles of balance (center), methods of proper movement, and more.  

Electronic preregistration and prepayment is required for everyone attending our courses.  Sorry, no walk-in registrations.  Secure credit/debit card and PayPal account payments accepted.  Refunds are given only if course is cancelled by Capital Defense Instruction, LLC.  Failure to attend scheduled training will result in forfeiture of your paid tuition.
