Course Description:
Active Shooter Civilian Awareness Training is an intense 4-hour classroom based course where you will learn the most important and effective strategies to help ensure your survival during an active shooter event.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
•Case studies of active shooter events
•Profile of an active shooter
•Developing a personal action plan
•Situational awareness
•Improvised weapons
•When and how to escape, evade, or engage the assailant
•“Power of the Prone Position”
•How to choose and use cover and concealment
•Weapons identification
•Emergency first aid
•Procedures to follow when law enforcement arrives
*NOTE: No walk-ins! Pre-registration is required for everyone attending this training event.
